Attached are several photos of a 1888 p Morgan silver dollar. On the reverse are two minor die breaks at 12 & 6 these seem common on these coins, but do they have a vam # On the obverse the upper eye lid has what I think of as a stinger on the end of it but does this count as a vam and does it have a # ? Same question for the upper lip ? And the date 1888 has a clear and visible ghost date below the raised date is this a vam ? On the reverse at AMERICA there is clear doubling at the bottom of the letters the lower serifs on the A are by far the easiest to see but is this machine doubling ? A worn die that caused this doubling or did this coin just slip in the collar and thus this doubling and the other doubling ? And lastly is this coin set deeper than others same minting same coins ? If there is a good place to find reference on the known vams on these Morgans please share. Simply stated Vams are really just cataloged varieties and errors on Morgans is this correct ?
