I check out the other 1964 d and my D looks different but the reverse is where it is--lemme me if I should pop the bubbly
The reverse is MD. Flat, shelflike, with reduction in the devices. It’s hard to tell on the mint mark, it appears to be circulation wear instead of a RPM.
MD on just a few letter--?I thought MD involve all the letters??just asking? And if you look at other 1964 d --The d is skinny
MD can happen on a few devices or just one, it depends on the movement between the coin in relation to the die. Here’s the listings for mint marks: http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/Denver Mintmark Styles.htm
MD can pop up in any point of a given coin. Even a single letter can be machine doubled without a sign of it anywhere else on the coin!
