looks to have a close "fg", going by third pic, so yes to wide AM.....
Sure looks like it
It sure looks like it to me.
I have made two cropped and enhanced images from one of your photos.
The FG is close to Lincoln memorial, and the A and M are wide.
You are now the proud owner of a 1998 WAM cent.
Ok thank you all I appreciate your time
Congrats on finding a WAM!
Welcome to Cointalk
It appears to be a WAM I still haven't ever found one in the wild. (Congrats)
Yes, a WAM.
Great Find!! Welcome to Coin Talk. Keep them coming ! Dillan
Great find, wonder how many are still out there?
Wow, this is why I wish I had more time to read more threads from CoinTalk in my daily email. I've never even heard of or knew about Wide AMs. So, out of curiosity, I went to check my Littleton Memorial Cent album (collected from loose change at Walmart), and my 1998 might be a WAM? But the FG doesn't seem really close to the Memorial as mentioned by Idries Pappas. See photos.
1. Does it have to meet both conditions to be a WAM?
2. Is the WAM feature unique to 1998, or does it apply to other years as well?
That looks like a WAM to me based on the photos Idries provided.
Yours looks like a WAM here's a pic to help you in the future also 98 99 2000.
Yeah that a WAM. also can find 98 99 2000 Wam's. Now if you find a 92 or 92d CAM (closed A M) thats the gold mine
I'll add that '92 CAM to my things to look out for! Thanks.
Thank you for the references Dave.
