First of all I don't think this is dd I gave up on that because I can't see it anyway I think this is some kind of damage. And I believe it happened at mint because there is no edge damage that I'm seeing. I know and understand you guys are sick of me but any help would be great thank you.
If a coin is damaged, why would the edge also have to be damaged? If i drill a hole directly in the middle, would the edge get damaged? Or would that be considered a mint error?
Just thought it was so close to the edge there would be edge damage. It appeared to me as though the raised section of the S was somehow relocated across and to the o. And something similar to the e. Sorry to have waited your time.
I apologise if I make no sense. I was just curious if there was any logical way that what's happening with the E S and o could be mint damage. I don't personally understand if it was pmd how the relocated pieces would have stayed. I figured someone could possibly she'd some light.
Look at your first post. Then look at your last 2 posts where you are giving us a small clue of what you are thinking of. Your first post doesn't say anything; your last 2 posts gives us a small clue of what you are thinking. Maybe start posting line items of what you are *thinking* versus us trying to guess what you are thinking and asking. you may want to read this thread: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/swollen-letters-in-america-1982-lincoln.333391/ This is a zincoln isn't it? You don't show the Obverse, every post should show a complete front and back image. We ask for a reason because the *other* side can sometimes help with what's going on with one side; if anything for this it gives us the year.
Sorry and thank you here is obverse. I will work on that. Also aside from what I mentioned above also wondering if it was a die crack on the lower right of reverse.
I see what you mean now between the S an o (states of) it looks like a die crack BUT because this is a zinc lincoln I see raising of the surface and crackling of the surface all over that top of the back side. I think it's just plating blisters and stuff like that.
