    Not stumped at all..
    Actually easy.. You have a slight Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse which is common on Cents minted on the 60s and 70s. You can actually see the slight False Double Rim to the left of the letter L in LIBERTY.
    And the funny lettering is due to wear and tear because of 55 years of circulation!
