Looks like a solid coin for the grade. Red Book is about $90-100 for this one.

    Nice coin.
I'm fond of that issue (1809-1836).
I've got a complete Red Book business strike set (minus the 1811, Rev of 1802).

I highly recommend looking at Chris McCawley's offerings.
I got my two 1811's from him.

You did get a good price on that one . I'll warn you some of the rest won't be as cheap. LoL I try to stay within the vf'-XF range. However it's not easy unless you have unlimited funds. Keep posting your finds.

Great eye appeal. I like collecting coins this old in circulated condition. You have a tangible link to 182 years of history. I always wonder at what point it became a piece in someone's collection.

$52 for that coin is a very good price. A lot of dealers would list it at the VF NGC price of $135 or close to it since it is slabbed. I think this Christmas I will get myself an early copper that isn't worn to nothing like all mine.

You can't go wrong with certified problem free circulated 19th century type coins. They will always be in demand. Your coin has a mintage of 103K. Compare that with 484K for a 1909 SVDB Lincoln, or 264K for a 16D Mercury. Of course there aren't as many people collecting half cents, but that just gives you more coin for the money.
