So dealers at a show handed over 200 Morgans to you after you said they were fake? Where was this show and who are these dealers? Who are you to confiscate anything?

Your story about confiscating doesn't seem to add up!

You only have to tap *very* lightly to get the distinctive ring. In fact, tapping vigorously can cause the coin to fall, as I discovered the first time I tried this. :-/

    Seeing as your a newbe.
Checks and balances are your friend.
    Get some tools....
Scale, Calipers, Strong rare earth magnet for starters.....a coin made of 90% silver wont stick too BUT can be manipulated by a rare earth magnet.

Yeah! Looking at the original post coin, something seemed off to me. Nothing I could pinpoint or explicitly point out, but something. I am no Morgan expert, or even intermediate level. Now, looking at Clawcoins's comparison coin, it's the rim or denticles. No? And now, when I see Clawcoins's post his subsequent post of the original, I'm a bit more confident. Yes? No?

    1889 CC is incredibly rare.
Another obvious fake, especially if you bought them off Ali Express for $5 apiece.
People have shown you photos of real ones and your coins look like the junk
    that they are.

    Both are fakes. Sorry

I have found a couple of very deceiving contemporary fakes through the years.
    These don't compare.

You wouldn't believe how many times I have heard people relate stories about numismatic items that "have been in the family for generations, came from great great grampas civil war chest etc" that were fakes made in the 1950's or later.

Both of those coins came from the Peking Mint.

Yeah, they were "peek-ing" at real Morgans before they made those fakes.
