    Welcome to the forum rwages.

Please retake your pictures and repost. This time light the coin from both sides, don't use a flash, and show us the whole coin.

This looks like a coin from Ancient Egypt (the Ptolemaic Dynasty).

It looks like late Ptolemaic dynasty, Ptolemy V or Cleopatra VI, that era, about 100 BC to 50 BC.

For these coins, the reverse -- the side with the Eagle -- is the important side because that is where the inscriptions are. Those tell us who, when, and where: the king, the year of reign, the mint.

When you bought the coin, what did the seller say it was? And how much did you pay?

    Hi Mike
I'll try to take a better picture of the back.

I didn't buy this coin. About 30 years ago when I was 10 or 11 years old. I made a trade with a School friend for it.
I have always wondered if it was worth anything.

Cleopatra VI was queen for a couple of months only(some experts say she's actually an accounting error) and her coins are very rare if non-existant.
