Can anyone help me translate these Thailand Bahts?

Discussion in 'World Coins' started by Billy Kingsley, May 28, 2010.

  1. I got three coins from Thailand in my last batch of assorted world coins, and I know they are different dates but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the dates are, even with the Krause book. If anyone on here could help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

Unfortunatly, all I can provide are scans so I hope they are enough to be able to discern the date. Sorry some of them are crooked! (I can't seem to solve that problem!)

These are all pieces of 1 baht registered under Y#183 with on the obverse the figure of Rama IX and on the reverse the royal palace.
The first one is dated BE2547 (equal to christian year 2004)
The second one is dated BE2542 (equal to christian year 1999)
The thrd one seems to be BE2551 (equal to christian year 2008)
Nice to have but not really expensive (0.1 US$ in UNC)

  4. Thank you so much! I am OCDish about organizing my collection by date and I had no clue on these, I tried to figure them out but couldn't. Thanks again for your help! And also thank you for identifying the Royal Palace on the reverse, I did not know that either.

    Thanks again :)
