    I see no DD
It's damaged. It was previously in a coin bezel. The Bezel smooshed the rim on both sides.

Could alsi be a Dryer Coin. It tumbled around between the dryer barrel and dryer wall for a long time. That's why the Numbers and Letters look smooshed also

    Not a Mint Error

Now you know I really respect and take your advice. But I do see it being smooth. Yet way is it seem like things are raised and wide? Like if u look at the neck /collar area

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

Due to the fact that an "even" amount of metal has been removed, except for an exposed rim which disappeared completely, I'd say it spent a few years immersed in a mildly caustic liquid.

The washer can also do a number on an innocent coin. Ever see a Morgan with very sharp UNC features, no detectable cleaning marks, but dull and gray? Culprit may be a run or two through a lye detergent hot bath 100 or so years ago.
