I don't enjoy camping, so I've never done it. However, even if I did - I still wouldn't do it. There is *zero* security at a campsite, and a whole lot of dirt. It's not exactly the sort of environment where I would want to handle my rare coins.
No but it sounds interesting. Not a concert but a coin show groupie. Criss cross the country in a camper following the coin shows. Like a bucket list thing. Bring a lot of food and cash! No dirt @physics-fan3.14 !
Jason, some of these RV parks are like resorts. Good folks, common people........but I do understand your apprehension.
I understand that there are loads of good people in a campsite. However, it only takes one bad apple. An RV would eliminate the dirt problem, but that's not really "camping." When you say camping, I think a tent on the hard ground with a stick poking in your back.
I also wouldn't do it. Hotel rooms are bad enough in terms of security; camp sites (even resort-like RV parks) are worse!
I've never tried it, but I love camping and I love coin shows. I'd happily do it (I will when I'm older and retired at least). I do know a couple who travels around the US and one of them collects coins.
Reaason why I's askin'........want to attend the FUN show in Fort Lauderdale. Ain't takin' a dragger.......towed car........Is Fort Lauderdale an RV friendly city? More specifically.......is the convention center RV friendly?
My idea of "camping" is Marriott, Holiday Inn etc.... indoor plumbing a must and a pancake or waffle making machine
There's a reason why deer hunters always go out first thing in the morning - if you're in camp, it's the only time you approach sobriety.
Ken are you going to rent one of those RV's that has in big green letters RENT ME on its side? Oh I can't wait till this movie is released
