The 1904 is vam 11, but a better image of the leaves between R & I of AMERICA could make it 11A . Looks like the die chip has started ...
The second 1881-S isn't 2 or 16 mint-mark isn't in the same position as theses vams . More images would help out ...
Sorry to hijack, but I need some VAM expertise as well. Looking at some Morgans my wife's uncle inherited and got stumped on this 1904 O. I have been using vamworld.com to attribute, but not finding a match. The mm seems to be a High O set slightly left but it looks upright with no "left tilt" as noted for the C4h reverse: C4h - High O Set Slightly Left and Tilted Left VAM-26 Far Date, Doubled 19 and Profile, High O Tilted Left VAM-26A Far Date, Doubled 19, High O Tilted Left, Gouges in Wing VAM-30 Doubled Profile, High O Tilted left VAM-30A Doubled Profile, High O Tilted left, Denticle Impressions Arrow Head VAM-30B Doubled Profile, High O Tilted Left, Wing-Edge Die Scratches, Denticle Impressions VAM-44 Doubled Profile & Hair, Engraved Jaw & Neck, High O Tilted Left I am not seeing any obverse profile doubling, nor any doubling in the date. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
