I know I'm late to the party, but I just picked up this little guy today at the Tokyo International Coin Convention. From my limited experience trying to find ancients in Japan, the pickings tend to be slim and often wildly expensive (especially Athenian owls -- holy Zeus! they are pricey). But today I was able to spot a few pieces at reasonable prices, with this elephant denarius setting me back less than $300 (I was actually shocked when I saw the tag -- thought it was a typo). While not in primo condition, all the elements are visible, and despite my grim photography, it's actually pretty shiny in hand.
What a coincidence. I bought my one and only on Thursday from Perry at the Central States Numismatic Society Convention in Schaumburg, Il 3.94 g, 16.25 x 17.37 mm
