I've been able to decipher the letters SPQR above the chariot, and the second and forth horse from the left appear to be looking behind.</p><p><br /></p><p>I'm aware that a hole greatly reduces the value, but I never bought them for profit, so that doesn't concern me. I saw a similar coin without a hole sell and in better condition sell for $1,400. This begs the question, should I be keeping this coin in a safe place?</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://www.cointalk.com/attachments/roman-coin-augustus-jpg.1276630/" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><img src="https://www.cointalk.com/attachments/roman-coin-caesar-augustus-02-jpg.1276631/" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
