You state I, "still post major inaccuracies about CAC" but, you give no details. I have stated why these CAC or MAC stickers are false as they are evaluating the coin after it has been graded and encapsulated and NOT raw in hand as NGC or PCGS was able to do in order to grade the coin. On the contrary, they are confirming what NGC and PCGS already graded but, they are also doing this through a plastic capsule yet, you believe this is reputable? If you believe my comments are not accurate, please give details and explain how you believe a coin grader can evaluate a coin through a plastic capsule effective? Would you buy a car or marry a wife through a plastic cover without ability to see, touch, drive or talk to? I think not but, this is a CAC or MAC sticker. I must state that all most posts on this have been the same and given explicit details against these two evaluating companies, CAC & MAC but, despite this, I get called names and no one have given any explicit details or explanations as to how these two companies can effectively achieve what they refer to as evaluating or confirming the grade NGC pr PCGS has already done.
Have you put a reminder in your calendar to come back here once a year, resurrect this dead thread, and challenge the member who hasn't been here since 2022? As we told you last year when you replied to the exact same post?
I hope you're incorrect, as I've more than 1000 CACed coins, and had a personal discussion with John when he 1st started applying the "bean", having many coins delivered to him since. The coins I sent were generally all in the 4 leading TPG slabs originally, as a 65 year collector, having assisted in a BM coin shop since starting by trading my time at age 9 for large cents, etc., in 1949. The majority of my coins sent, never even received a Green sticker! I still purchase the new CAC slabbed coins, when I locate a Gold coin at my "Fair Market" price, as being less than CDN evaluated. It's believed I must be misunderstanding your statements, or you may be grossly misinformed! I'd suggest that you only purchase raw coinage, based on your trust of relatively proven TPG standards which have allowed these "fraudulent" firms to elevate, relative to the grading firms' standards! What published standards do you support for coin grading, as I may have learned improperly! In my now 75 years of coin collecting, working in BM coin stores, attending shows, sending unslabbed top-tier coins in for re-grading, etc., I found PCGS to be one of the most inaccurate TPG, as was determined by others in the 1980 TPG evaluation. I found CAC to be the most consistent evaluation source, not necessarily specifying a grade, but evaluating relativity to the published 1977 A.N.A. grading standards!, who today produces a believed definitive successful graded product that should establish credability for the few individuals unable to accept truths! Anyone who has learned the general wear patterns of coins, can generally easily properly grade a slabbed coin! JMHO
If you can't grade a coin that is in a holder, you can't grade coins at all. You should change hobbies. The rest of the hobby don't have your problem.
