    Hello!

    I'm a bit torn here.

What am I supposed to do about references on the CAC Application for as a Young Numismatist?

I have built an expansive collection of early dimes and later mercury dimes, most PCGS/NGC Certifed. I believe that the condition of several should've been a + or *.
I have several coins in PCGS rattler holders. These were graded with just a whole number, so + and * we're just rounded down (in most cases).

I've been coin collecting for over 9 years now, but have really not formed any of the connections with coin dealers.

Yeah, I've bought coins from dealers and enthusiasts, however, I don't have enough Numismatic connections.

Am I just supposed to wait until those connections form?

    Should I contact CAC?

Thanks for all of your help.

The reference part is generally more of a formality for the collector applications. You can just ask around and see if you can find 3 people who would let you put them on there

I just wrote down 3 dealers that I purchased the most coins from.
I think CAC just wants to know that you really are a collector.

I submitted a little note that said basically what you wrote in your post.
Most of my purchases were from auction houses and I don't know anyone around where I live that collects coins.
