We worked hard to fund a Diabetes Alert Dog (D.A.D.) for him, and raised over $20,000 to purchase the trained dog, and supplies needed.  After medical insurance, my Daughter and Son-In-Law still have over $600 USD in medical supplies they have to pay out each month. Killion is doing wonderful now, has accepted the disease, and is empowered to make healthy decisions in what he eats and what he does in his daily life.  My daughter especially has borne a great burden, setting alarms nitely every 2 hours to test his blood and dose insulin as needed.  Killion wears a insulin pod as well as a Dexcom to monitor and dose.  I write this in tears, and I almost feel selfish for putting this out. Here is my Grandson, his Sister - my Granddaughter Layla, and D.A.D.
