Hmmmm? ... well, if I squint my eyes I can just kinda see Justin's face ... oh man!! => he doesn't look impressed!! Aahahaha => just kidding ... yah again, this is a super-cool coin, Dr-J (ummmm, I don't have any/many coins from this era, so you are bringin' it, big-time!!) => out-standing, my friend ... simply top-notch stuff!!
Hey VK- Notice when someone gets Byzantine fever it hits you in waves, 2 to 3 pieces at a time? Next thing you know your ancient buddy is in on 2-3 pieces. People who haven't bought them in a while search them out and everyone gets sick. Well done these coins seem to be hard to find in great condition and they can get pricey for prime pieces, these are nice good job.
Thanks guys! Your not alone; I've sort of noticed that too. I get a gold Anastasius tremissis, you get two Justinian folles, I get three Byzantine coins, lol. Funny, it's a big Chi-Rho but on a pretty small coin (like in the 11-14 mm range).
I can see way more of the bust in your photos, compared against the seller's photos (great job, mang!!)
I have looked at many coins like these but cant find an instrest in them. Nice coin just not what i like in coins. That is what makes this site being able to choose what you like and find those that like them to share with. Happy hunting. By the way how much has the price jumped on these cause i see a lot of post lately with these type coins?
I have to agree. I have very little interest in Byzantine coins even though I have a few (just to round out my collection I guess). However VK, JA is right. Your images are much better than the seller's.
