My friend also has an example of half follis where it was an originaly gothic coin that was counter struck and made into byzantine coin because of the shortage in material. The whole area was under gothic control than the byzantines took it and then the goths retaken it and byzantines took it again. There were a heavy fights for the city and the neighbouring forts. I also found a coin of the ostrogothic king witigis and that is also a witness of the changes in rule on that area.[/QUOTE]
