Our moderator is correct once again. The very early sets were not packaged well from the mint. The coins tended to work themselves out of their placement. This is why the majority were broken up and placed into holders. Now comes the fun part. The pieces can sometimes be worth more than the whole. It is also true that the quality of most of these coins are not all that spectacular. The few sets that I have bought over the years were broken up to be placed in better holders. It has been a few years since I have seen a set dating from 36 to 41 in an original wrapper. Since it is easier to sell a well matched set, I don't expect much luck will be had in this particular quest. If I do see or here of one, I will keep the members of this forum in mind.
