<p>[QUOTE=&quot;FreakyGsMom, post: 674212, member: 17127&quot;]*69, I&#039;d do it in a heartbeat.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Green, that is exactly what I was thinking when I read the OP question.&nbsp; I am the parent of a 14 year old that is the owner of some gold coins so it&#039;s within the realm of possibility that this child does own the coin but why would the kid want to sell without parental consent?&nbsp; It&#039;s late and I&#039;ve only read this thread once, but it seems as if the kid is going out of their way not to have Mom or Dad in on the deal and that alone makes me suspicious.&nbsp; I can only speak for my household but my 14 year old child is not allowed to BUY or SELL any coin without mine or his Dad&#039;s consent.&nbsp; That&#039;s the rule.&nbsp; Why?&nbsp; He&#039;s a good kid but I wouldn&#039;t want him walking around with the money from that sale in his pocket for a couple of reasons 1.&nbsp; it&#039;s just not safe and 2. what&#039;s the kid wanting to do with the money?&nbsp; Even if the coin is rightfully the kids to sell that&#039;s a lot of money and unfortunately sometimes more often than not money+teenager=trouble.&nbsp; Hopefully all of this concern is for nothing and the kid is on the up and up and they&#039;re just not interested in owning their coin any longer and wants to sell it and buy a new iPhone, BUT if it&#039;s not their coin you could do a fellow collector a huge favor by possibly saving their coin and maybe even keeping a kid out of whatever trouble that the money from selling the coin might buy.</p><p><br /></p><p>Don&#039;t misinterpret, plenty of YN&#039;s buy and sell and it&#039;s legit.&nbsp; Garrett does but he does it WITH a parent present. </p><p><br /></p><p>Once again, this is just my opinion; but in MY house MY child has no right to privacy.&nbsp; It&#039;s my job to bring him up with morals, values and respect for others and I watch him like I&#039;m with the NSA.&nbsp; I check his internet usage, his text msgs, emails etc.&nbsp; Do I check each and every one?&nbsp; No, but I check the majority.&nbsp; It&#039;s my job, I&#039;m his Mom.&nbsp; If he&#039;s in the bathroom with the door closed and the fan on he can have all the privacy he wants but that&#039;s pretty much the extent of his right to privacy while under my roof.&nbsp; G has lots of things, I don&#039;t believe he&#039;s repressed in any way, shape or form but that&#039;s the rules and he&#039;s aware of them.&nbsp; It&#039;s just too easy for a kid to go astray in todays world without someone looking out for them and I personally would do everything I could to keep my kid or anyone else&#039;s kid safe.&nbsp; If making the call keeps the kid from making one heck of a bad decision then way to go!&nbsp; If the kids on the up and up and you call I bet the parents appreciate you taking the time to call and thank you for your concern.&nbsp; I would just approach it slowly without accusing the kid of anything when/if you do make the call.</p><p><br /></p><p>Good Luck with your decision,[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
