Sorry forgot to post results! NGC says I have no recent orders so I can’t screen shot the entire sub. Here’s the slab pics They didn’t put the overdate on the label This one surprised me. Didn’t see a cleaning on this one
Not really. I can see an argument being made for AU-50, but this is more like what an EF-45 should be. Looks like NGC may be tightening up a bit as well, and that's a good thing. Call their customer service. This is one they should fix for free. It has definitely and absolutely been cleaned, no question about it. That being said, I've seen much worse in problem-free slabs. Its kind of a toss-up, but if they are getting a little tighter then it doesn't surprise me that they'd Details grade this one. It looks like they attempted to remove some of the residue, but it looks like some of it is still present. I am surprised that they slabbed this one problem-free with the residue still present. If I bought that coin in a problem free slab, I would be pissed.
The 1822, 1827, and 1831 look much different wear-wise in NGC’s photos. I’m leaning towards agreeing with them.
None of those coins will get a gold star. I'm not convinced any of them will get the green bean either. I'm curious to see the results of the cac'ifying.
