In 1989 I was a bidder in sales run by Numismatics Fine Arts where the same specimen sold for $1400 on an estimate of $1800.&nbsp; That is not a lot of change over 28 years but Triton XX included two nicer Archaic owls (the best went for $13k) and people with thousands to spend don&#039;t go for bargains.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Sometimes you either have to figure there is never any point in looking for sense in this game.&nbsp; In Triton V the coin below was estimated at $40k.&nbsp; I do not know if it sold.&nbsp; In XX if was estimated at $10k&nbsp; and brought the opening $6k.
