I was supposed to get this Anglesey condor token.

But I got these 2 tokens instead.

Never had this happen and pretty sure I got the short end of the stick.

That sucks, if you had come out ahead it would have been far better

That stinks - as a seller, occasionally I’ll mix up an order (every few years, usually when I’m trying to do too many things at once) so I’d see if they will take care of you.

On a side note, I’m pretty sure I just found one of these (the one you were supposed to get) in my older non-silver bin. Not as nice as yours, obviously - but I thought it interesting I recognized it right away.

Good luck getting the right token!

Ya its a pretty nice example but theres better out there. Sorta an impulse buy but not really. If that makes sense.

I looked these tokens up they appear to be about 10 bux each. I paid 40 for the pc i was supposed to get.

I'm not upset about it really. Though i did wait over 2 weeks from great brittain. I understand people make mistakes. 6000 with 100%. I'm sure he'll just take care of it.

Ok so here's what the seller wants to do.

He is apologetic. He is asking me to forward the 2 wrong tokens off to the correct buyer. In turn he is asking the recipient of my token to forward to me. Sorta makes it sound like he just swapped 2 orders. He should hope so anyhow or otherwise he goofed no less than 4 orders.
Says he will assure I am compensated for my time and money. Boy if he knew how much I hate going to the post office..or Staples to buy shipping supplies. Main reason i dont sell any coins whatsoever. At least not on fee bay.

I think I'm gonna do it just to see how it turns out. This could be exciting.

    1. Other guy keeps my 40.00 sweet ass token and receives his tokens i send. I now have no item to return. Get burned for 40.00 purchase price plus what i spend shipping the buyer his tokens.

    2. Both us buyers fix this guys problem. All is good. We feel like we did something nice.

    3. Seller sends me 7.00 ... PP takes 70 cents holds my money for weeks.

    4. Seller sends me something Irish that I keep and has a good story behind it. Me and seller become buds.

Ya man I almost gotta do it just for the excitement.

What to do what to do......

Let the seller know the cost of shipping and have him send you that before sending anything out. Also ask him to get a tracking number from the other buyer so you can track your package and then you can do the same for them.

Even if the other buyer stiffs you and the seller doesnt make it whole you would still have some recourse with ebay as the seller had admitted to swapping the orders and the tracking number you asked for would show nothing delivered

Would i be violating any ebay rules? Like "transaction outside of ebay" type stuff? Anything that would get my buying privileges suspended?

Shouldnt be. You aren't actually doing a transaction outside of eBay for any sales all youre doing is correcting a mix up from the seller. As a buyer it doesnt really matter if they nuke your account anyways you can just make a new one. Feedback for buyers really doesn't matter but it really shouldnt be an issue

If this seller is who I think it is, he is OK, if you buy from him occasionally just have him take the shipping fee off you next purchase.

I had a similar thing happen once with a DNW auction. I received an item I had considered but hadn't bid on and didn't get something I had won. They wanted both of us to ship them back to England and they would then reship to the correct people. Since we were both in the US we just shipped to each other and everyone was happy.

I had it happen to me awhile back. I sent the incorrect item I had received back to the seller and let him deal with the other guy and getting me the correct purchase. I sent the inexpensive coin back to him, signature required so I had proof, along with photos of the coin and package, and he did the rest. I got the correct purchase and was happy. For the seller to expect you to make up for his mistake, is in my opinion, a mistake.
