I had a buyer (SERIOUSCOINS) that contacted me before the auction was over and made an offer if I would Sell It Now. I accepted his offer and I had a very good, honest desciption along with very good photos of the coin. He promised payment but after several days went buy he contacted me and said he was worried about some mark on the reverse of the coin (which I had described in the listing). I still to this day am not sure what the mark is because it is certainly not a scratch or gouge but none the less I had disclosed it in the listing. I even told that it was not visible with the naked eye so maybe it was a lamination issue.
This was for a 1955 DDO that would probably grade at least XF, or maybe even AU? But he missed it for 1,200.00(his offer) and then turned around an bought one for 1,500.00 that didn't even come close to this coin???
My point being, there are all kinds on eBay that don't know whether they are coming or going and nothing surprises me anymore! But over all I have had pretty good experiences dealing on eBay.

Funny you should mention seriouscoins. Remember that 1914-D I bought? - - 1914-D - - He wound up buying that coin when it was relisted. I followed the eBay rules and did not say anything until the auction was closed and then wrote him and told him what was determined here (VF, horribly cleaned, and probably an altered date). He thanked me for warning him. After receiving it, he was quite pleased with it!?!?!?. BTW - I paid $350 and returned it while he paid $750 and kept it. Go figure.

I have dealt with Serious...2 great transactions, I cant post here due to privacy, but he is a solid guy in my book. I gave him the heads up on the 14-D, posted him a link to this thread.......... I can be found in his feedback.

Seemed friendly and knowledgeable - with my very limited run in with him. I just could not figure out why he wanted that coin.
