I'll be visiting Lima, Peru next month, May, and was wondering if anyone had any experiences purchasing bullion coins or bars in South America. I want to stay away from numismatics but like any idiot I can understand spot price plus premium. Are there any gold or silver coins or bullion that is easily recognized and traded at low premium in that region? I'm thinking of coins marked wtih weight and purity. Anything that would be worthwhile to buy and bring back? Thanks in Advance.
