Here's another from my collection: 1962 10 Stotinki KM 62 The places I see it are at the star and lion's head and paws. What do you guys think?
I see what you mean now. Situation with the star is questionable due to wear, but I definitely see the lions head issue, I think you`re correct. Take a look at the link I sent you.
I think that's definitely from the die. The shift in the star is very prominent, but I can see it in the head, and in those stalks, too. Look at the top star, to illustrate. It's all there. It isn't smeared, any, to form the bottom star. There isn't a chunk cut out of it. It's the full star. The bottom star was there and the top star was punched over it. The same can be seen in the head and in the stalks. Just look at one that isn't doubled, and I'll bet you'll see that, that the dimensions in the top images are all full and intact.
that's a tough one i seen that before and i was always told it was a die shift or machine doubling, but again i cant tell
Usually machine doubling or whatever you wanna call it has a double image that doesn't stick out as much. In this case it stands out a lot and is also not as flat as you'd expect. Doubled dies can have doubling on any device, and here I see it on the star
