Please let us know when it slabs as an error. I have a handful of copper-colored Buffs that sat in vinegar for a few months; if enough of the nickel has dissolved to bring them down to the 3-gram weight of a cent planchet, I'm in the money! (I'd join in the "go away, troll" chorus, but I'm still rooting for us to hit the two-million mark Thursday night, and @Profit man is doing more than his part to get us there.)
Gee, that is funny! I'm thinking of a 4-letter word that means the same as, "I don't believe you." Chris
I don't think he's really trolling. This is an old trick where you get lots of information by acting like the "cock of the walk" with a statement. If it's wrong they'll be lots of replies and insults explaining why. Just weigh it profit man. Your suppose to be a pm dealer so your suppose to have a scale.
You know, Profit Man posts these coins he's goin' to get certified, and yet he doesn't post the outcome of the coin...
We are his "experts" like Rick has on pawn stars. If he doesn't know the answer, he asks someone who knows then lowballs the seller based on our comments. I did the same thing for stamps for a while when a collection of coins and stamps came in. The big difference is that I explained to the forum that I was doing this and thanked them for their help afterwards.
Hello Profit Man, There is an error coin section at CoinTalk which is designed for this type of coin discussion. More folks with interest in error coins might see your thread in the error coin section. The first data needed from you is the precise weight & dimension of the coin. Since you deal in PM, you must have access to an accurate scale. Please weigh the coin & report back here.
Our resident pro-basement TPG schmo who incessantly lauds lesser services in a lame attempt draw attention to his listings and to sell his laughably overpriced and overgraded wares. Considering the recent onslaught of nonsense from the OP, perhaps schmoism is contagious.
He could probably just look at the edge. If it was a cent planchet that expanded to the diameter of a nickel, seems like it should be pretty thin now.
This thread is so entertaining. And to think, I could have been watching 'The Voice' tonite....gotta get a life.
