A great addition. Vitellius Denarius. Weight: 3.30 g Diameter: 18.50 mm A VITELLIVS GERMAN IMP TR P, laureate head right / LIBERTAS RESTITVTA, Libertas, draped, standing facing holding pileus and long rod. RIC I 81, RSC 48
I kinda thought it would be neat to do a 12 caesars set with lest coins. An ae of Claudius from Macedon, Philippi, with Augustus and Julius Caesar on the reverse. (RPC I 1653) A tetradrachm of Nero with Tiberius on the reverse A denarius of of Vespasian with Titus and Domitian on the rev. RSC 5 8 of the 12 right there, and you could get all 3 coins for less than $300 for budget examples on vcoins.
Here's my budget Vitellius, got this scratched up Vitellius for $50. Vitellius AR denarius 69 CE Obv: A VITELLIVS GERM IMP AVG TR P Rev: PONT MAXIM RSC 72, Van Meter 16 2.6 grams, 19 mm.
Nice to see a good variety of reverses on this thread. Mine is the common dolphin-raven-tripod combo.
