Could be a fun learning deal. Spreed each roll out on a table and sort them by grade. You can learn a lot with that many coins in front of you.

Thanks for the reply, it has been fun so far but I’ve only found around 5 so far that I would consider to be higher grade ( which I will post once I’ve been through all the rolls ) there are so many small marks from transportation which is annoying. There’s a couple nice toners that I will be keeping though with no marks that I can see

Unsure weather I will get any genuine replies but thought I would post what I deemed as being higher grade coins and see what comments I get back. Sorry to all the people on here that seem to get snarky with someone that’s trying to learn something. Anyway I’m pretty much done and will refrain from posting after this post. Enjoy the pictures

thanks for showing them, they mostly seem ms-63, to ms-65, the one that coulda been a 67 has rim nicks so i discounted by a point, others might deem lower grade, i had learned to grade back in the photograde era, then ana numismatic grading standards was my bible, back to photograde by pcgs now...it is online and free pcgs photograde, look it up, it will help, and just let the snarky comments slide, i too get annoyed once in a while, but hey, ya get that anywhere, welcome to the internet where people get very brave hiding behind a screen (myself, sometimes ) included, lol

Thanks you for the reply, think I should of been wearing my glasses as I tried using photo grade on the PCGS app too ( although I was using my phone so maybe the screen is too small lol ) thank you for the kind comments but I’ve decided posting on here is just too toxic although the knowledge is unbeatable to have at your finger tips at times. I will just lay low in the background and read the threads rather than make my own. It’s a shame but for sanity’s sake it’s a must. Thanks again ( also now I know the grades I won’t be sending these in so I really appreciate the feedback )

for washingtons your best bet is to buy the state quarter mint sets issued from the mint, i have gotten these sometimes 2 to 3 times face value on ebay, these almost always contain ms-66 to ms-69 grades for some reason, very sharp and damage free coins sometimes..

Darren, in case you do not know, the mint produces coins and ship them in a ballistic bag to a Federal reserve bank who then rolls them for various sector banks. The number of coins in such a bag see here usually close to a ton.
    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/724973/this-is-a-mint-ballistic-bag

The chance of a coin not touching or rubbing other coins in such ( Notice the bag is NOT hard sided ) is close to impossible. So the chance of any new coin being a MS68-70 is the chance of a life time. Do Not be discouraged so soon.

I once picked up $1000 worth of high grade state and bicentennial quarters from an auction of delinquent bank boxes.
BU rolls and loose in bags...even got 5 gold plated in the mint set.
I was wondering what to do with them also and asked one of the retired guys in the coin club.
He said bring them over and he will pay $13.50 a roll on what he keeps.
I made an extra $200, the rest of the quarters went to the casino coin counter and back into circulation.
I searched ebay to see if the bicentennial's were worth anything and didn't find they were...
3 months later people on ebay were paying 2x face.
    Timing is everything.

    Good luck in your hunt.
I kept 3 obvious rolls of error quarters
( they were pretty obvious and marked error on the plastic container)
People like error coins if you find any.

Had to dig them out, couldn't find the last round of pictures out of the 8,354 on my phone:rolleyes:
Looks like 2 North Dakota Philadelphia and a Kentucky Philadelphia.

The error is a struck thru something looks like.
Hard to get a good picture of it.
Kansas obverse then North Dakota reverse
