You are correct on both points; however, here's a twist: If I could write a check today and get all of the sets I desire tomorrow, I would do so. You might say that I could do just that, provided that the check was sufficiently large. And that is where 'working the deal' comes into play. I would never expect someone to sell something to me for less than what they could get from someone else, but likewise, I don't want to pay too much becuase of my ignorance.
