I found this nice BU example of coppercoin's 1958D-1MM-021 / Wexler's WRPM-021. This is a great coin that experts don't all agree on. Some believe this to be a coin with 5 different mintmark punches while others believe the anomalies to be die damage as seen on other dies from this year. Either way, what ever opinion you hold, I think this is a great coin to look for! If you are looking to find this variety pay close attention to those 1958D's with the super high mintmark placement. Feel free to express your comments and opinions on this interesting coin.

I picked one of these once in BU. Tough tough coins to find.

It's a unique find, but I'm of the camp that those extra punches are not RPMs. I've searched hundreds of Bu 1958-D rolls and the prevalence of die gouges for that year and mint is unprecedented. I believe this to be the remnants of such die gouges.
