I think the designs with the &#039;helping hand&#039; and &#039;looking out across the horizon&#039; would have been so much more appealing (to look at) and would have better embodied what scouting is all about. It&#039;s too bad that an appointed politician (serving at the whim of the president) makes the final selection instead of some sort of advisory board having the final say.
