That's the one that caught my eye straight off, it depends on your lighting how they come out in pics, happens to me all the time. The Pius you just posted, which is it closer to under normal light the top or bottom?
I love the way a beautiful patina with a bit of wear can accentuate the expressivity of a coin. Like this one, a tiny bronze (14 mm, 0.9 gr.) from Persia, a local coin struck around 700 under the new vigor of the islamic caliphs: Gods from the old religions slowly receding into ancient mists, regarding us with a sad look.

I don't know... you could speed cabinet toning along with a hearty plate of beans and closing the office door... @Mikey Zee , perhaps that may had happened?
These coins make me wish I weren't so paranoid about bronze disease. I just can't stand the thought of my beautiful coins destroying themselves. :/
I love light green or turquoise patinas. Maybe because I am an European I have read Americans actually prefer brown patinas on bronzes. Below are some of my most beloved bronzes.
Thanks Mikey Zee. I actually took the pic of the Domna sestertius myself. The other pictures come from the dealers because the pictures I tried to take couldnt really catch the beauty of the patina. I find photographing bronze coins quite challenging.
