    Actually it wasn't too bad. Mostly pine needles, leaves and a few roots covering most of them. Hauling most of them out of the woods to the truck was the hardest part. Those that were made with iron wheels and axels and heavy duty steel tubs. Axels frozen up so I had to carry them out and they were all contactor size.

    What, no brass shell casings? I did a whole 5 gallon pail of those one day.

    Huh? I have a small foundry down the road from me that buys brass per pound!!!

    I'm from the mountain state of West Virginia. Believe me, I know snow. That's why I now live in Florida. However, today I was freezing. The high was only 67 degrees

    Here's a batch of Oxen/Draw Horse 1 horse shoe 2.JPG 1 horse shoe 3.JPG 1 horse shoe 4.JPG 1 horse shoe 5.JPG 1 horse shoe 6.JPG Shoes I found this past summer. The farm I found these on existed from the 1850's-30's. Plus an old lead pouring tool. And two carriage wheels for my garden.     Those carriage wheel looks awesome! Painting them was a great idea. I agree with you, those would look great in a garden. Now I am inspired for the day.

    My horse shoes was to old and rusty tu hang on door but first when I found one with better shape I will hang up on door.

    Oh yeah, got one out in the back yard I usually fill with marigolds.
