As most of you all know some of us folks enjoy collecting "Broken Nose" Mercury Dimes. I find that its a lot of fun and keeps me busy. Well today I want to introduce you to another type of "variety" ( I dont know if you would classify this type of thing) "The Broken Phrygian Cap"!!! Now, I have only found two of these so they are a little tougher to find. The two that I own are both 1944S's so there is a chance that they are limited to only 1944S issues. Anyways here are what they look like. I might be the only one that really cares but I thought it would be neat to share this with some of you folks and maybe if you get bored you can check your Mercury Dime stash to see if you have a "Broken Phrygian Cap".
