Yes, Ballabh, the William on the left is by far and away the cuter of the two. I don't know if the artist that did this had Leonardo in mind, but I should think that William's mom's heart would have been warmed.

I feel the same way De Orc. I love seeing the two coins side by side, genuine and genuine "fake". Someone did tell me that in the 19th century, making a coin with Aluminum was more expensive than using gold. Wasn't Victoria rendered in Aluminum for one proof edition in the 1870's? I think that if a few of you guys that I suspect know so much more than I about Coinage were to enter into a conspiracy, you could easily have convinced me that my aluminum piece, gentle smile and rounder serifs and all, was indeed the REAL THING, an historic achievement, a genuine Aluminum period coin.

And Kiwi01, you've got a nice looking Edward: austere, dignified and regal, but with a cold cold heart. I guess that when he posed for the portrait, he couldn't hold the smile.

spiraltree, so did I. Sometimes it's hard to judge a coin when all you have is a flat image on a screen.

This wa snot an offer to buy or sell coz there were no specific coins or a price mentioned it was merely a suggestion that IF i managed to buy some coins and IF they were extras i would be giving them out forum members if they were interested. I am aware of the forum rules and would post there when that time came. I basically think that telling someone about one's plan does not make it an offer to sell coz there isn't anything to sell right now. Its the same thing as one member talking about getting something from the mint and then deciding what to do wit that if there are no specifics itc ant be an offer to sell its common sense I would appreciate it if such posts are not deleted or modified as they dont violate the forum rules. the forum really needs to really look into it. If you guys still disagree then let me know.

Please see this posting is not targeted at De Orc who is a friend it is merely a suggestion to improve the crazy interpretation of some draconian rules in an effort to make cointalk a better place

certainly not you are not guilty and its not worth it if it makes you sad :(. If it makes you unhappy ill drop it completely but i reiterate that my fight is against the draconian rule and not you and i wont bring it up again until i have your support since a similar thing was done to you. stay happy and enjoy the coins :D more pictures and maybe even a contest is on the cards ;)
