    Hello,

I have a 2005 Britannia .958 silver coin that I bought as a "pocket piece". The coin looks like it has an abnormal reeded/milled edge on one side of the coin. The other side looks fairly normal. I don't think it's a seam. It almost looks as if the reeds "stick out" a tiny bit further on the bottom half of the coin (when viewed from the side). I have attached some pics. Do you think this is a real Britannia with a mint defect, or a fake? I have searched all over for similar pictures to see if other Britannia coins have this problem but have come up empty handed. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I am no expert on this coin, but it looks highly suspicious.

Seam in the middle is usually a bad sign for counterfeits
