    Taribor Don't know what I don't Know

I sold some old silver so I could buy some proofs i'd been wanting to get. The two Britannia's are PR70 DCAM's, but one has some obvious spotting, and for a '12 coin, I didn't think it was worth the money so I am exchanging it. I purchased all three coins from APMEX, which is great to deal with. Am I being anal on dumping the 2012, or justified? I know coins tone/spot over time, but to me, a 2012 coin that is advertised as "perfect" shouldn't have a huge spot next to the Queen's face. If they had detailed/closeup pictures before I purchased, then that's fine, but that wasn't the case.

I am buying Britannia's since they have been low mintage and they are (hopefully) becoming more of a player on the international market, which hopefully means more collectors. As far as the Libertad, I just thought it looked cool and wanted to add it to my collection.

  3. If you buy a 70 sight unseen, the expectation is that it should be flawless to the naked eye. IMO you are justified in returning anything you are not satisfied with as your feeling towards it will only get worse over time if you do not return it. It would be the first thing you notice about the coin every time you look at it. I also like the Britannia...beautiful designs, low mintages. TC
