Didn't that henweigh make your belt fall down? I never carry mine with me, I always leave them in the truck and have the workers go get them.

Actually no, the framing hammer counterbalanced the henweigh. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

As much as I do like the classics, they are meant to be part of a history.

I hate to be the mint master and imagine the feedback you get is that no matter what you do, you can never be better than what the previous die engravers did.

    Now that's depressing.

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of criticisms but hey what's there for the future if we keep looking back and not try to improve?

It is my understanding the Roman tried to pay for the beers with buffalo nickels. ;)

That pic. of Jefferson and the rendition of the buffalo in no way is close to the artistry of the original by James Earl Fraser.

How about put the buffalo on the reverse of a standard five gram planchette. Then scale up the old mercury dime ( winged cap ya know ) so that it now fits the entire obverse with a denomination of 15 cents. You can bring back two coins held in high favor with most of the public that remembers them.

Can you imagine doing anything of a traditional or retro-issue in today's "woke" culture (cancel culture included)? Whether an Indian or a privileged white man, founding father and slave owner, what rancor and arguments would ensue. Better to leave well-enough alone and don't draw any more attention to anything like this for a time...who knows for how long. It may happen anyway...but don't rush it. Compared to what we could end up with, I love Jefferson just the way he is and/or was on the original from 1938 to the present portrayals. That's my 5 cents worth.

If things keep going the way they are, we'll end up with something similar to this
