I have a 1976 d lincoln memorial penny weight 2.04 grams. It is very thin and not quite as big in diameter as a regular penny. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Matthew
I have TWO 1976 brass like pennies. There's no mint on either. If I can figure out how to post a photo... But if not, my email is edited
I too have a 1976 no mint very shiny penny looks like gold but who knows could be brass any ideas, i did the magnet test and it did not attach to the magnet
Why did you do that? Niether brass or copper stick to a magnet I will share the webpage once again http://koinpro.tripod.com/Brass.htm
What do u mean why did i do that? because i wanted to...why else...i also read that gold does not attach to magnets..why else..and your webpage is talking about. 1983, 1985-D, 1997, 1997-D & 1998 not 1976...here is a pic of course i will go to an expert and if its not a proof or error coin. ill just make it into jewelry.
hmmm yours looks more fake mines is more mirrored...but i appreciate the answers..i will take it to a coin expert...it will still make a very nice ring...if not real
Ok thanks.. I'm going to go look at my Mint Errors I have been collecting for the past 34 years Maybe one day I will be a so called "expert"
Picture is not great on mine, but it looks better in hand. Let me try for another photo. I can assure you it is as real as yours. cough, cough. Hard to pick up the gold color without the flash. Trying again.
