Been researching the Brasher doubloon bc I found one in a box of my old things. I think its more than likely a fake, but mine has what looks like a "c" under the date, and I can't find any references to this particular mark anywhere. Anyone know what that means? Obviously I realize that it's most likely c for copy, but I was wondering if perhaps this particular copy, at least, was worth anything? image.jpg image.jpg

If you've compared this to photos of known examples, I am sure you know it's not even that close. As for any non-gold copy value, I highly doubt it.

probably fake. the real 1 or 2 are worth millions. I got to see the best 1 in Las Vegas. it had guards around it. talk about serious guards. do not even try to get them to smile. it was great seeing it in person.

Welcome to the forum. Can you post pictures? Which type is it? A new discovery piece would be major numismatic news as all known pieces are catalogued.
