The above statement is inacurate though. It states right in the first thing the boy&#039;s lear that &quot;On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to GOD and my country...&quot; Fairly up front about the religion thing. The boy scouts Was born as a Chrisatian organuzation and . thoug it has evolved to include other religions, it still believes that one&#039;s religion is an important part of one&#039;s being.</p><p><br /></p><p>The belief that they ban gays due to fears of pedephilia is also inacurate.&nbsp; Statistics show that more pedophiles are not otherwise homosexual than those that are. The reason for the banning is due to the religious reasons. As a private organization they have a right to restrict their membership.
