The above statement is inacurate though. It states right in the first thing the boy's lear that "On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to GOD and my country..." Fairly up front about the religion thing. The boy scouts Was born as a Chrisatian organuzation and . thoug it has evolved to include other religions, it still believes that one's religion is an important part of one's being.</p><p><br /></p><p>The belief that they ban gays due to fears of pedephilia is also inacurate. Statistics show that more pedophiles are not otherwise homosexual than those that are. The reason for the banning is due to the religious reasons. As a private organization they have a right to restrict their membership.
