I hope some day to get down to 20 boxes of twenty, won't be too soon as I keep finding things to buy as I sell.
OH and the $1000 dollar ones get easier as the trip gets longer.
Waiting for this to get here.

BTW I like many others went for the thirty dollar or so slabs and ended up at about 1300 in my collections been thinning the herd since 2009 when I said enough for quantity lets go to quality.
Currently at around 550 with many targeted to find new homes soon.

The price of the item, is not necessarily, the idea of the Box O' Twenty.

As others have stated repeatedly, QUALITY, is the common thread.

In the theory of the Duece Box, even a $3 value of a coin, if of utmost viewing pleasure, deserves a place in this box....even alongside a $1000 dollar coin. BUT, it must stand out from others of it's series.

You know when a coin deserves to keep it's place in the Duece Box, when other numistists OR non numistist, react when viewing each item from the box.

I agree to degree as I try not to be absolute in anything.

You can buy a lot of quality for $30K.

Let's not get ridiculous. An inexpensive bottle of wine can be good, but Thunderbird is to be left in the bag.

Have you really ever seen a non-numismatist just think a coin is the cat's meow? Sure, they think proofs are pretty, but if they prefer the 1999 proof set to the 68PR 1804 Draped Bust dollar, they are not worth showing the box of 20.
