I don't know about others but the past year it has been hard to get boxes of Lincoln cents due to the "shortage" but my friend at the bank came by my work and said she had several hundred dollars of customer wrapped rolls so I decided to go and pick up a box. So far it has been a mix of boom and bust. I have has a few rolls that popped out a 36-d and a 29-s and 30-40 other common date wheats but holy moly all the corroded cents I have came across that i'd be lucky if the bank would even take is incredible. It's ok though it has been a while since I have searched anything other than pocket change.
That's the kind of junk I get from my bank. I don't get penny rolls from them anymore. Wash your hands.
Most of those are nasty looking and I wouldn't have any fun having to handle them. Be sure to wear gloves. LOL
I recently got some nasty too that looked like from a wishing well. I threw them all in a tumbler. They cleaned up pretty good after an hour.
A similar thing happened to me, but it was my own doing. I rescued a brick of cents last year that I forgot was in my van. When I finally got around to searching them a couple of months later almost all were crusty like yours and sticking together. I thought it was the bank giving me bad rolls but then remembered my windshield had been leaking. Oopsie! Sitting on the floorboard of the van had put them in the splash zone from the windshield.
I can still get boxes of coins from my bank, but some of the rolls are like the ones you posted. I'm finding it harder to find anything worth keeping these days compared to four years ago.
