    Great review, makes me want to read it. Guess I'm only left with one question after reading your review; are the photos/illustrations in color or black and white?

    If I remember right, Laverne Redfield is also in that book-the grandest stacker of them all Mike. :D

    I just ordered a copy from Amazon. I read that book in 1974 (public library) and have been a Bowers fan ever since.

    the illustrations are both in color and black and white and they are spectacular.
