I have the 1954 Stack's catalog of the Anderson DuPont collection of U.S. Large Cents from 1793 - 1857 with Prices realized. It was forwarded and cataloged by Dr. Sheldon, with photos as of that time. It is a highlight of my reference section.

Thanks to everyone that put their two-cents in. As soon as I get up the money I am doing some shopping. I finally saw where I read about Bowers' new book. It was in the 30 March edition of CoinWorld.

I use Sheldon's Penny Whimsy for descriptions with The 2009 Pre Longbeach online catalog for pictures for Early dates. It also includes the new varieties found since Sheldon's book was published.

I use The Cent Book by John Wright for middle dates.

If I get into late dates, I'd invest in Grellmans book.

I'm a little paranoid about the Pre Longbeach site being taken down so I copied each image to my hard drive for personal use in case it goes away. The images are outstanding.
