Bought a 1928 $1 note on eBay When I opened the envelope, I noticed the color didn't look right. Compared it to my 28A and 28B and it was no where near their color. It also looks like it may have been pressed. Is there anything else I can check to determine it's authenticity? IMG_0264.JPG

I'm no expert, but I can't imagine anyone faking a 1 dollar bill. I'm going to say it's real, and in much better shape than your other two.

100% genuine note. As Nathan remarked - nobody was faking $1 bills around that time, just no reason to do so (though there are some poorly done ones like WW2 propaganda notes, etc.). It just has much fresher paper tone because it hasn't been handled near as much as the other two. It does have a bit of a pressed/washed look to it since it looks like it has engraving breaks from paper creasing but lies very flat - hard to say in a plastic holder, sometimes the light plays tricks.
