If the need arises, they want to be able to sell that coin in the slab and expect buyers to trust what it says on the slab and to get the top dollar. </p><p><br /></p><p>But the only way that&#039;s gonna happen is if the general public knows that this particular grading company won&#039;t slab harshly cleaned coins, or fake coins, or damaged coins, or artificially toned coins etc, etc. And for the coins that they do slab - that the grades will be fairly accurate and that the coin is genuine. </p><p><br /></p><p>So if you want the name on the slab to mean something - you can&#039;t just slab anything.
