This is likely the moment most of us have been waiting for. The market in physical is nearly completely seized-up, no one moving metal, the big online retailers withholding confirmation on orders pending the opening of markets in Asia this evening...,,, It's going to be a total blow-out!! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...t-as-reddit-horde-moves-to-coins?srnd=premium
Yep, come 6PM EST we'll see what the markets say. I may be very sad or very glad that I didn't spend the afternoon posting silver BINs on eBay.
Just went to JM bullion for fun and all silver that I looked at says sold out. Don't think you can order silver from them right now.
eBay SOLD archives for 10 ounce silver bars shows most that have sold today are going out the door around $37 an ounce. https://www.ebay.com/b/10-oz-Silver-Bullion-Bars-Rounds/39489/bn_57671454?rt=nc&LH_Sold=1
If this hits the fan, I might just have to part with all my Panamanian 20 Balboas and other similar big world silver Still a ways to go before I hit that point, though.
I love those big silver coins. Seems there is much more of a preference for 0.999 fine silver now days among bullion investors. I would be quicker to pull the trigger selling on anything Sterling or less pure than pure silver bullion.
Well, at the prices I'm into them for, as well as pretty much everything I have left, I'm not letting anyone else have them unless I can't justify keeping them or I just don't care about them any more. And I'm with you - I like the big shiny silver coins. Was SO disappointed when the LCS back home sold a kilo with a gorilla on it (can't remember which African country it was from) as well as a few other kilos for melt to another dealer...after I'd already offered more than that to them earlier that week.
Well... Maybe I don’t do math in my head really well.... No maybe about it. I don’t do math in my head very well at all!
Yeah I'm already running scenarios of which goes first the libertad collection, britannia collection or the silver panda collection in omp and slabbed first.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I've got about 35 one ounce bars in sealed plastic, really old Engelhard and Johnson Matthey bars. I got them for melt about 20 years ago at a show and even then, was pretty sure someone would pay a premium for them eventually just because they are old desirable assayers and not Franklin Mint junk. Probably put them on eBay if we can get to a new record spot price in the next few weeks. Would be nice to sell high instead of just buying high for a change.
